In 2008, Tavi started a fashion blog called Style Rookie. In 2011, she founded an online magazine for teenage girls called Rookie. Rookie was home to thousands of essays, interviews, comics, advice columns, playlists, diaries, photo editorials, and other works by teenagers and worthy grown-ups. Tavi edited the site for seven years. Rookie published five print anthologies, which she edited and art directed. She also hosted and co-produced The Rookie Podcast.

 

Rookie folded in 2018 (Tavi wrote about it here), and has since been included in the Library of Congress's web archive. All of Tavi's writing for Rookie can be found here.
